The Express Tribune reported, because of a family wedding the night before and an alarm clock that remained silent, he was able to escape the tragedy.
Escaping such tragedy is one thing but dealing with it afterwards is another. Dawood lost not one, two or even three of his closest friends, but six. As a result, he is immensely traumatized and is said to be rendered speechless.
“He is in judo and is a tough child but he is showing no emotion at all right now. He just attended funerals the entire day. No one from his class survived. Every single one of them was killed,” Dawood’s elder brother Sufyan Ibrahim told The Express Tribune.
“Dawood isn’t talking to anyone; he isn’t talking at all,” his brother said.

PAKISTAN: 134 Students Shot Dead At Military School During Exams; 126 Injured

Wednesday, December 16, 2015 marks the one year anniversary of the 2014 Peshawar school massacre when seven gunmen affiliated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) carried out a terrorist attack on the Army Public School in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar.
The militants, all of whom were foreign nationals, included one Chechen, three Arabs and two Afghans. They entered the school and opened fire on school staff and children, killing 141 people, including 132 schoolchildren, ranging between eight and eighteen years of age. A rescue operation was launched by the Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) special forces, who killed all seven terrorists and rescued 960 people. On 02 December, 2015 Pakistan hung four militants involved in the Peshawar massacre.
This was the deadliest terrorist attack ever to occur in Pakistan, surpassing the 2007 Karachi bombing.

NEPAL: The Gadhimai Festival (Warning: Graphic Images)

Male domestic Asian water buffaloes (locally called "PaaDa") are the preferred species to offer to the goddess.
This festival occurs in, of all places, Nepal - the birth place of Buddha - known for his teaching of non-violence to the world.
The festival is a month-long and began this year on November 28, 2014 and ends November 29, 2014 (hence, how we discovered this viral story.)
The ritual began at dawn with a ceremonial "pancha bali" or the sacrifice of five animals, comprising a rat, a goat, a rooster, a pig and a pigeon. It is estimated that 300,000 - 500,000 animals were killed during the period of sacrifice in 2009 while 5 million people visited Gadhimai during the festival.
Unsurprisingly, the festival has garnered numerous protests by animal rights activists and the likes. In 2009 activists made several attempts to stop the ritual, including Brigitte Bardot and Maneka Gandhi, who wrote to the Nepalese government asking them to stop the killings. A government official commented that they would not "interfere in the centuries-old tradition of the Madheshi people."

Everyone turns away or do nothing whenever stories like these are published about dog meat trading. We are guilty of it also. Maybe it’s because we can’t handle the flagrant and shocking disregard for the well being of these animals and the torture these dogs are put through everyday – all in the name of ‘tradition’ – dog meat delicacies.
Did you know – the dogs are put through such torture because according to Soi Dog’s website, “when they are in pain, their bodies release adrenaline that softens their meat.”
People, these are not chickens, or cows. These are dogs. Man’s best friend. Dogs who wait patiently for their masters to return home after a long day at work. Dogs who will lay by your grave site in mourning. Dogs who will love you unconditionally. You hear the stories all the time:

Cheetah Robot is a fast-running quadruped developed by Boston Dynamics with funding from DARPA. It just blazed past its previous speed record, getting up to 28.3 mph, about 0.5 mph faster than Usain Bolt's fastest 20 meter split. This version of the Cheetah Robot runs on a treadmill with offboard power. Testing on an untethered outdoor version starts early next year.

These rarely kept bred of chickens are called the Ayam Cemani chickens, (Ayam meaning “chicken” in Indonesian and Cemani - “completely black” in Javanese), which originated from the island of Java, Indonesia. Dutch breeder, Jan Steverink first imported it into Europe in 1998 and there are stocks that are currently kept in the Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia. After more than six hours later, he is left with 28 teeth. This was such an amazing ordeal that the doctors had decided to forward the case to the Guinness World Record for the most number of teeth extracted from an individual! No kiddin’.
Ashiq Gavai, the boy with this rare condition, lives in a village in Buldhana district in Amravati region and about a year-and-a-half ago, his family noticed swelling in his lower jaw but the doctors there couldn’t identify the problem.

Another Beauty of a Fan Spotted in Stands – A True Successor to Larissa Riquelme? (8 Photos)
