What is this Brain-Like Blob Found in a Lagoon? | National Geographic
Strange animal blobs that look like human brains have been discovered in a Vancouver park. Lost Lagoon, a pond just north of the city center, contains a population of bryozoans. They live in colonies of genetically-identical individuals connected to one another, and wrapped around a wad of slime. The bryozoans' presence had either gone unnoticed until now, or may have migrated north from their former range.

Jerry and Marina and their amazing on-farm summer resort. The focal point of the resort is their 90 by 70 foot and 14-foot deep pond. The huge pond which also have a shallow end for kids has a 30 Mil poly liner in it. Jerry keeps the water clean by adding chlorine and the water is constantly rotated with a pumping system.

Crazy car pileup in Montreal. Bus Police and Snowplow!
Wow. Where do we start with this one. They call it the mother of all pile-ups when it comes to slippery, snow-covered road collisions.
This street in Montreal was a challenge not only for cars and buses but for all those who came to the rescue - police cars, snowplows and trucks! And it was all caught on camera by uploader Willem Shepherd who had just settled into his office that morning. It began when he saw a bus sliding slowly down the hill...
Got to work and there was an insane pileup happening outside.

The bus sliding down the hill eventually crashes into a group of four cars at the bottom. Moments later, a taxi narrowly avoided hitting the bus, but a pickup truck was not so lucky, and the bus lurched forward under the impact.
That wasn't the end of the madness.
Not even close.
Another city bus made its way down the hill, but, like most of the other vehicles on this road, it soon lost control.
That bus crashed into the truck, forcing it out of the way, and then hit the first bus still at the bottom of the hill.
A police vehicle trying to come to the rescue followed, sliding into the second city bus.
A snow plow came next, but even that truck couldn't maintain control on the slippery hill.
"Get out of the car!" someone can be heard shouting in the video as a snow plow careers towards the police vehicle.

WATCH: Catastrophic Wheel Failure on Hwy 407, Ontario Captured by Mini Cooper REAR Dashcam
Sat, Nov 19, 2016. 8:20am On the Westbound 407 ETR in Ontario Canada. Have the family in the Mini Cooper, heading to London, when we come up behind this SUV.
I notice from way back that the hazards are on, so I expect to see the skinny spare tire on it. As we pull up on the left to pass it, I notice the wheel wobble moments before some bits (lug nuts and bolts) fly off, I fixate on the bits, not sure if he just ran over some rocks or gravel and see them bouncing on the road. I follow the bits with my eyes and one slams into my car (seen in the slow-mo bit at the end)
My wife is watching the whole thing, as we pass him, the sparks are flying and we could hear the grinding. Then the wheel separates from the truck, and crosses all the lanes and bounces into the centre median. Luckily it stayed in there and rolled along for some time, and did not bounce over the barrier and into oncoming traffic (I followed it in my rear view as long as I could)
The guy certainly knew something was wrong with his truck, as he had his hazard lights flashing. He took a risk to continue driving in my opinion, as people have been killed in Ontario by fly-away wheels. He is just lucky that no one was hurt by that thing.
I have ran a dashcam for a number of years now, and just a couple of weeks ago put my motorbike away for the season so thought I would mount it's dashcam in my Mini Cooper as a rear facing cam. Good idea, I am going to get a dedicated rear facing dashcam for my car now, half the crazy crap that happens out there on the road happens behind you.

TORONTO — Patrons at a Toronto pub may have done a double take on Friday night when pop star Justin Bieber sat down at the piano and played a few songs.
Fifth Pubhouse issued a news release Sunday saying Bieber wandered in alone, ordered a drink and watched the Toronto Raptors’ game.
The pub says he spied a piano and asked staff if he could play it.
According to the release, Bieber played a number of songs including the Beatles “Let it Be” and his own song “Sorry.” - torontosun

Canadian Parliament Building 117,000 falling poppies to honour fallen soldiers
Happening October 28th until Remembrance Day, Canada's Parliament buildings in Ottawa will see 117,000 poppies fall in honour of Canada's soldiers.
OTTAWA – The Royal Canadian Legion is holding a virtual Poppy Drop on Parliament Hill.
The virtual display runs between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. every night until Remembrance Day, projecting the poppies onto the Peace Tower and Centre Block.
A projection of 117,000 poppies are shown falling, one for each of Canada’s fallen soldiers.
Two video screens are also set up, featuring a photo montage of Canadian veterans who served and sacrificed. - 1310news

Young Woman Gets Bodied by a Police Horse After Slapping It | Kingston, Ontario
Kingston Police said the horse was actually slapped three times during Queen's homecoming. Two men and a woman were charged in connection with the slaps, police said. No one was injured.

That's the lesson a young student learned in Kingston, Ont., this week, after getting hoofed by an annoyed horse for her mischievous antics.

The first couple months of the fall semester set the perfect environment for ignorant post-secondary students who are living away from their parents for the first time to make bad life choices. And this weekend, some students at Queen's University homecoming have given the internet a special, precious gift: A video of a young woman slapping a police horse's ass and promptly getting kicked by the animal.
In the video, a blonde woman wearing a red-striped, dark-coloured polo runs up to two police horses holding human officers, slaps the horse, gets kicked and falls down face-first. Then, a pal runs up to the woman as she runs away holding her face.
