NEW ZEALAND: Inspiring Photos by Mother, Taken of Her One-handed Daughter (10 Photos)

Amazing, inspirational photos by Holly Spring of her daughter who has no left hand and struggled earlier in life with Hirschsprung's disease, (a disease which affects the large intestine (colon) and causes problems with passing stool). Holly took up photography then to show her daughter there are no limits to what she can achieve if she just believes in herself.

“My daughter is my muse and my heart that inspires me to follow my passion and share these unique photos and digital art with you,” says Holly.

Her photography won the NZIPP, (New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography)/Epson Iris Portrait Creative Photographer of the Year award in 2014.

Have you heard about the black chicken? No I mean the really, really black chicken. Not only is it really black but it's black from head to toe, inside and out!

These rarely kept bred of chickens are called the Ayam Cemani chickens, (Ayam meaning “chicken” in Indonesian and Cemani - “completely black” in Javanese), which originated from the island of Java, Indonesia. Dutch breeder, Jan Steverink first imported it into Europe in 1998 and there are stocks that are currently kept in the Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia. There is also several varieties one of which includes the Swedish Black Chicken.

• Skyway driver acquitted on impaired charges. An Ontario court justice has formally acquitted a Brampton dump truck driver of two charges relating to the Skyway Bridge crash.
