Finnish factory owner Lauri Vuohensilta is at it again with his hydraulic press and warns us all not to try this at home... like we all got a 150-ton press sittin' at home. (Actual crushing starts around the 1:44 mark) The video has been viewed over 2M times in less than a week...

STEEL vs ALLOY rims vs wheels which one is stronger? We put both wheels into our 150 ton press and crush them to find out! Don't try this at home!

I refused to pay $400 for senior portraits so I edited them myself

Don't try this at home kids... and parents. This is illegal and the owner of this video has made it quite clear in the comment section on his YouTube page. In the meantime, we have to admit he does have a talent for photoshopping.  The video has been viewed over 2M times in less than two weeks...

OK OK TO CLARIFY SOME THINGS.
1. No I did not print these out, that’s ACTUALLY illegal because I’m profiting off of someone else’s work.
2. This was made just for entertainment and educational purposes, I don’t even have the file anymore.
3. Even if I wanted to print it out, I could literally count the pixels because it’s a screenshot.
4. I am a photographer and I know stealing and manipulating another person’s work is wrong, but it’s just to prove a point about how photographers, especially senior portrait ones, overcharge us.
5. We weren’t even allowed to look at our photos and had to pay for reshoots if we weren’t satisfied. If you blinked, too bad.
6. Photoshop is $10 a month.
7. It doesn’t let you download the file, so I had to screenshot.
8. I don’t want to hear ways around getting the larger file, this vid is a joke.
9. DONT DO THIS ITS ILLEGAL TO PRINT.

It can't get any more inspirational than this...

The teenager from Millington, Tennessee, who has had over 80 reconstructive surgeries, is now pursuing his dreams of modelling so that he can inspire others to accept their unique scars. Find out more about Courageous Faces Foundation

Parkour Atlas

Yikes! Atlas is getting more and more agile. Not sure if it's a good thing or not but check him out doing parkour...

Atlas does parkour.  The control software uses the whole body including legs, arms and torso, to marshal the energy and strength for jumping over the log and leaping up the steps without breaking its pace.  (Step height 40 cm.)  Atlas uses computer vision to locate itself with respect to visible markers on the approach to hit the terrain accurately.

Atlas, The Next Generation

A new version of Atlas, designed to operate outdoors and inside buildings.  It is specialized for mobile manipulation.  It is electrically powered and hydraulically actuated.  It uses sensors in its body and legs to balance and LIDAR and stereo sensors in its head to avoid obstacles, assess the terrain, help with navigation and manipulate objects.  This version of Atlas is about 5' 9" tall (about a head shorter than the DRC Atlas) and weighs 180 lbs.

How small a hole can a mouse get through? Experiments.

The sound effects alone was worth the watch of this experimental video with over 18M views, involving one mouse, some peanut butter, various sizes holes... and a shrew?...

Experimenting with how small a home a mouse is able to fit through.  But it didn't go as planned.  I had a lazy mouse, and a hard-working invading shrew.

Update:  Two days later, the shrew squeezed itself through the 16.5 mm hole (See 2nd video)

Shrew squeezes through 16.5 mm hole, epic struggle

In my previous mouse video, I said the shrew never made it through the 16.5 mm hole.  But two days after that video It actually did make it in there!
